Workman's Friend
Brand Communications
Background
A Pint Of Plain
Opening another restaurant was not unfamiliar territory for the owners of The Workman’s Friend who already owned 5 other well established Irish pubs across Charlotte. However, in this case, the authenticity behind the decor and ambience couldn’t have been more perfectly executed. Hailing straight from Ireland, much of the artifacts and furnishings were obtained from many sourcing trips right in their homeland.

Ireland Inspiration
The restaurant epitomizes what you’d expect to find in a corner pub off a cobblestone road in Ireland. From the wallpaper, to the antique mirrors and worn tables, it’s an escape from your traditional bar into a place that prides itself on quality service and excellent food and drink. The open-faced turkey sandwich alone is reason enough to return time and time again.
A Neighborhood Pub
In the heart of Plaza Midwood, The Workman's Friend is an inviting neighborhood pub where all are welcome. The goal was to create a brand that lent itself to Irish tradition so we took inspiration from the handpicked artifacts used to outfit the space. This also inspired the choice of the wood planks for the menus and other brand touchpoints.
