A Church for the City
New Charlotte Church exists to bring the Gospel to the people in Charlotte, and the world. They are not simply a church in the city, but a church for the city. They challenged us to create an identity that better represented their mission. In addition, they needed a branded online experience that not only attracted new members, but worked as a resource for the current congregation.

A Fresh Brand Story
With the recent growth of New Charlotte Church, they were ready to progress forward with a refreshed identity. It was important to keep the logo simple, and ensure it spoke to their mission of serving the city. We worked to provide a system for logo usage as well as variations of the logo to be applied in different situations. This helped make the brand feel more intentional when used in different applications.
By using key passages and phrases from the church community, we were able to generate recognizable marks and badges that personified the community. These visuals helped generate interest in the community on the purpose and meaning behind the new marks.
Strong History, Exciting Future
Atypic also helped with ongoing environmental graphic applications for the brand. Aligning with their purpose of reaching people in the community, their goal was to expand to multiple campuses. It was important for us to keep this in mind while defining brand guidelines and ministry logos that would remain consistent across all campuses.
